Pitfall

A Hypixel-style PvP arena

Pitfall is continuous combat. You drop into the arena, you fight, and eliminations fund the upgrades that make the next fight easier. There's no lobby queue to sit in and no match to wait for - the arena is always live and you rejoin the moment you're out.

The loop is deliberately tight: fight, earn, upgrade, fight better. Early on you're scrapping with basic gear against people who've been in longer than you. That's normal, and it's the fastest way to learn the arena's geometry and where fights tend to start.

Upgrades

Eliminations buy progression. Spending well is its own skill - stacking into one strong advantage early can snowball a session, while spreading thin leaves you competitive at nothing. Watch what the players at the top of the arena bought, and work out why.

Rank progression

Ranks track how far you've climbed, and they're visible - which means they're also a target. Climbing makes you a more attractive kill to everyone below you, and holding a high rank is harder than reaching it.

Combat version matters here

Pitfall is built around classic combat. Minecraft 1.8.8 has no attack cooldown, so it rewards fast clicking, reach control and knockback management - the skillset most PvP players have trained. If you're serious about the arena, use the 1.8.8 client.

Getting started

1. Join on 1.8.8 and pick Pitfall from the lobby.
2. Expect to lose early fights. Learn the arena layout while you do.
3. Bank your first eliminations into one meaningful upgrade rather than several small ones.
4. Fight near the edges until you're confident - the middle is where the strongest players farm.
