No. CarrotCraft runs on Eaglercraft, a browser version of Minecraft. There's nothing to download and nothing to install - just click Play and the game boots in the tab.
Yes. Because it loads as a normal website, CarrotCraft works unblocked on most school Chromebooks and locked-down laptops. The 1.8.8 client is the lightest and runs smoothest on low-end devices.
